Rachelle Lambert, Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist,
with over 10,000 hours of clinical experience!
When you schedule acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatments with Rachelle Lambert it benefits your local community! Rachelle spends 10 hours or more every week volunteering her time as the leader of the Colorado Acupuncture Medical Reserve Corps. Rachelle also appreciates your understanding when a disaster occurs and she has to re-schedule her appointments last minute. Thank you to my patients who re-scheduled last October to allow me to help with recovery from Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico as part of the State of Colorado Disaster Behavioral Health Team!
You are invited to come support the Colorado Acupuncture Medical Reserve Corps and their live in-person fundraising event in effort to raise the last of the funding needed for an incredible training opportunity to support emotional healing and the long recovery journey of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, 2017.
The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities. MRC volunteers include medical and public health professionals, as well as other community members without healthcare backgrounds. MRC units engage these volunteers to strengthen public health, improve emergency response capabilities and build community resiliency.
Colorado Acupuncture Medical Reserve Corps (CAMRC) strives to strengthen national community health through the use of acupuncture and with the Acupuncture Mission Ready Package will have the ability to support the Medical Reserve Corps of Puerto Rico (MRCPR) to train new and current volunteers in the innovative capacity of using acupuncture in addition to other MRC capabilities. With this training the MRCPR will use acupuncture to support healing and recovery of psycho-social trauma in Puerto Rico with educating on and responding to community resilience through preparedness, response, and recovery activities.
We still need to raise $680.00 to pay for local Spanish translators, and $1,400.00 to pay for meals/incidentals/hotel fees during the training. All the proceeds will be spent in Puerto Rico therefore further boosting the local economy.
In addition to showing your support by attending this fundraising event, you will have an opportunity to try acupuncture yourself and see what all the hype is about. All treatments will be given by Rachelle Lambert, Colorado Acupuncture Medical Reserve Corps Unit Leader and the Creator and Project Leader of the Medical Reserve Corps of Puerto Rico Acupuncture Training. See below for a description of the acupuncture treatment:
"Have you had a stressful week? Try acupuncture for yourself and see what the hype is all about to relieve stress, relax your nervous system, and support anxiety, insomnia, and depression. The treatments are offered in a group setting so the more the merrier! There is a suggested $20 donation for the treatment and all proceeds will be donated to the Medical Reserve Corps of Puerto Rico Acupuncture Training."
Donations can be made in-person by cash/check, or online through Acupuncture Innovation, 501c3 (2955 Valmont Road, Suite 100, Boulder, CO 80301).
